But here’s the short version…
7 years ago my wife Souheyla and I started our first 2 companies, GT PRO MEDIA (now IHSAN Consulting) and E-FITNESS from our one-bedroom apartment with over $8700 in debts and a computer my ex-employer had bought me.
We hustled, cold-called businesses and I did door to door until we got our first client.
GT PRO MEDIA was a multiple high 6-figure digital marketing agency focused on helping 6, 7, and 8-figure eCom brands and agencies scale profitably.
E-FITNESS was a health and wellness eCom 7-figure brand we took from $0 to 7-figure in a few months with NO PAID ADS.
When every entrepreneur out there was solely focusing on paid ads I was obsessed about profit optimization, conversion rate optimization, cost of goods shipped negotiations, partnership programs creation, joint ventures deals and structuring referral programs.
In 2019 I failed at launching a couple drop shipping brands and a SaaS business.
In 2020 I was invited to join the Forbes Business Council to share my wins & losses with other successful entrepreneurs, founders and leaders from all different industries.
In 2021 I joined BASE, a private equity firm in Hong Kong as co-founder and CMO where I was managing a portfolio of a dozen of agencies and eCom brands, scaling them and getting them ready to exit at the highest valuation possible.
Despite having the social status and luxurious lifestyle, I felt terrible and felt stuck in an ego-centric hamster wheel chasing the cash rather than deeply helping others. I struggled. My loved ones struggled. And the worst was when the depression started creeping in…
To cut to the chase: I took a break from work, started my spiritual journey to get out of this loop, and discovered the inward part of our beautiful religion called excellence (Ihsan)
- Started learning the sciences of the heart (Tazkiyat al-nafs)
- Started practicing remembrance (Dhikr) of Allah and his prophet Mohammad ﷺ
- Started practicing meditation (Tafakur, Murāqabah and Muhasaba)
- Started to use plant medicine (ex: Black seed - Habba Sawda)
And was hamdou li Allah guided to realize my purpose is to serve Allah by sharing and teaching the knowledge he gave me in online profit optimization to Muslim founders who serve our Oummah with their amazing products and services.
That's how the vision of IHSAN HOLDINGS was born!
