Description:
This project showcases the complete 3D modeling and assembly of an engine system including a crankshaft, connecting rod, and piston, designed and animated in SolidWorks.
The goal was to accurately demonstrate the mechanical motion conversion between linear and rotational movement — a core principle of internal combustion engines.
The animation presents the rotation of the crankshaft synchronized with the reciprocating motion of the piston, connected through the rod.
Special attention was given to kinematics, axis alignment, and smooth mechanical constraints.
Key skills demonstrated:
3D mechanical design and assembly using SolidWorks
Realistic motion animation and rendering
Understanding of engine kinematics and mechanical function
Technical visualization and presentation of mechanical systems
This project is ideal for technical demonstrations, engineering visualization, or educational presentations on mechanical motion and design.
